Tomorrow is October 1st. And apparently it's the best month of the year - per Jannette. During a commercial today, Jannette saw this... it only adds fuel to her fire.

The dishwasher evidently gets really hot where the coil is on the bottom. Today when Jannette was unloading it, she discovered this:

While out shopping Thursday night, Jennifer found more of her new favorite cookies at Target!! The closed boxes lasted until tonight when she decided to bust into them and have a few. The cookies are not "graham crackers" per se but they are good and gluten free and are a nice treat every now and then. Yay for finding them somewhere other than specialty food stores!

September 27

Jannette FINALLY cut her hair today - 12 full inches to send to Locks of Love!! She spent hours in a salon this afternoon getting her hair cut, colored, and styled. This is the 3rd time she's donated her hair but the first time she's colored it. What a fun day!!

September 26

There is a puddle of water that keeps showing up on the kitchen floor in the apartment. No clue where it's coming from because it's too far from the fridge and the dishwasher to be coming from either one of them.

September 25

Jennifer made the decision to go gluten free and mostly grain free in addition to already being refined sugar free on August 15th. The decision has been a good one, but at times limits her breakfast options. While staying up overnight for her coming night shifts, she discovered a recipe for a German-style puff pancake using coconut flour instead of wheat flour. This is how it turned out... PUFFY and AMAZING. She will definitely be making it again.

Jennifer's baking again - today she made herself gluten free pancakes with raspberries for brunch! They were pretty yummy! And she put the griddle away herself - thanks to Jannette putting directions on the styrofoam pieces! :)

Fall is here!!!!! The leaves may be slow in changing in NC but the cute Fall scrapbooking stuff is out at Target (in FL may I add....) - yay!!

It's fall in the apartment!!! These are the decorations that the girls have for the entry way and the table.

Jannette took care of some mundane errands today while Jennifer was at home sleeping for her night shift. Among the tasks was a trip to Meineke to get an oil change and a coolant flush - fun, fun.

September 20

Jennifer woke up from her nap today to Christmas music wafting throughout the entire apartment. This was the culprit - Jannette's record player!

September 19

Jennifer's morning started very early in Cape Canaveral, FL today. After 2 days of scrubbing the flight, she was able to go out to the beach down the street from her grandparent's house with Mom and see the shuttle Endeavor leave KSC for the final time. The shuttle was piggybacked on a 747 and accompanied by a fighter jet and a small plane. It was a gorgeous morning on the beach and something she'll never forgetting seeing.

Jennifer then made it back safely to NC from FL later in the night - after a multiple day bout of food poisoning while visiting the parents. One the way back north she made a much required stop in Pooler, GA to get 2 delicious subs and other tasty Publix items to take back to NC. This is Jennifer's (poor) attempt at enjoying her sub - it's a sub salad. Everything got scrapped out of the sub including the spicy mustard and mayo that she loves and oil and vinegar was thrown in the mix. Let's just say the bread... was definitely missed.

September 18

Mom and Dad got their birthday presents today (part of the way between both birthday's to be fair...)!! Jennifer and Jannette surprised each of them with a new BYU football shirt and tickets to the BYU-Georgia Tech football game in Atlanta, GA at the end of October. Yay - we can't wait!!

September 17

The shuttle Endeavor was supposed to leave KSC today. It didn't. It got scrubbed due to weather issues. Hopefully it will be able to take off before Jennifer leaves Wednesday!

September 16

It may not officially be fall yet, let alone Christmas but that did not stop Jannette from sporting her Christmas PJ pants. Maybe ... she's jumping the gun ... just a bit.

Jannette went to Publix on her way back to North Carolina today. It's always so much fun!

Jennifer was up WAY early this morning (read: 4:30am) to help Dad out for the day. It was a nice, clear Orlando morning with just the moon and a star.

September 13

Jennifer made it to FL early this morning and was greeted with some yucky weather around the Jacksonville area while driving south on I-95 -- way to go Florida. :(

Also, both Jannette and Jennifer were in South Carolina today. However, they weren't in the same car nor were they in that state at the same time. Jennifer is on her way down to Florida and Jannette is visiting a friend that lives in SC.

The puzzle that Jennifer and Jannette are giving Jorden for Christmas is done. Hope he likes it!

Jennifer and Jannette get a kick out of places put thier products in a bag that is twice or three times bigger than what is needed. Panera did just that today. Thanks Panera.

Today was day 1 of 3 of Core classes for Jannette. That doesn't mean much other than sitting in a classroom for hours listening to people talk. It was lots of fun.

September 9

After reading "The Wedding", Jannette decided she had to read "The Notebook" to see how much was different from the movie. Boy was it different. All the major things in the movie are totally different than the book. Sooo different.

Fall. Football. BYU. Cougars. Win. Victory. Saturday.

In the attempt to find something in the storage unit Jannette decided it would be a good time to go through winter clothes. In the mix was her BYU #15 jersery. It's always been big but now it's a dress on her.

September 6

Somedays it's hard being a nurse. Jennifer and Jannette headed down to Fayetteville today. During dinner it decided that it would downpour. Needless to say they got a little wet.

September 5

Jennifer and Jannette saw each other in passing this morning during shift report. Jennifer went and got Jannette a Pumpkin Spice Cream Frap to start off her day. This happned to be the highlight of Jannette's day at work.

Jannette got her "Welcome to the Unit" present today. It has some good goodies in it!!

Happy Labor Day! Jannette was bored today so she decided to paint her toenails. It didn't quite turn out the way she wanted them to but it'll work for now.

Even though it's September- not all things around the apartment are pumpkin, yet! Today Jennifer made some banana bread using coconut flour.

Football season is in full swing. Today there was college football on all day. It was fantastic!!
