It's that time of the year again! Time for decorations, parties, weekend trips, and Christmas! Today Jennifer and Jannette headed from Asheboro, NC to Asheville. The Vanderbilt House - Biltmore - is always a lovely sight during the holidays. The girls took a hike around the estate today - which they had never done before!

Today was another E-sitting day :) Jennifer went out to hang with the rugrat while Meg and Cam worked! E's naps are usually limited to late morning these days - so this may have been the start of him not feeling good (again...). He snuggled up to Jennifer (and the stuffed puppy) ~ 8:45a and was OUT for almost and hour and a half! It's awesome that he's still a great cuddler...

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!! Today while Jennifer slept off 3 night shifts, Jannette baked, cooked, and did some scrapbooking. Heaven help us and the trees :) She worked on pages about our trip to Biltmore and the Grove Park Inn (for the Gingerbread House Competition) last Christmas. The pages look great!!!

After a long day at work Jannette opened her car door to a pizza and Christmas music left there by Jennifer. It was a very welcomed surprise.

Jannette came home from work tonight to see that the apartment complex had decorated for Christmas already. It was lovely to see.

Today we had to say goodbye to our peanut. We're sad to see him go but we're also happy to see him finally go home.

Today was the annual Radiothon at UNC Children's Hospital. Jason Michael Carroll, who is a native of North Carolina, came and did a small concert in the Hospital's lobby.

Jennifer made baked oatmeal while trying to flip over for her night shift - turned out OK... definitely needs a few tweaks. But how can bananas, pumpkin, and cinnamon be anything but yummy?!?

Years ago when Jennifer first attended college she met a girl named Lia. Lia was adorable, spunky, and generally amazing. One of the most random memories she has of Lia however, is the paperwhites she used to grow in her room - from a bulb she received from home. Jennifer saw a paperwhite growing kit today while shopping and decided to buy one. Because it reminded her of her sweet friend Lia.

General Fall dreariness is beginning in NC. Today was overcast and chilly. All. Day. Long. :(

Jannette decided to try to be the Hulk when taking down a patient's room yesterday. Well afterwards she also had to play nurse to herself. She cut 2 knuckles and had to bandage them up with tegaderm, gauze and of course a Captain America band-aid.

It's election day. Both Jennifer and Jannette voted. It'll be interesting to see the results- either 4 more years of Obama or a fresh new 4 years with Romney.

Happy Birthday Jorden!!! He turned 29 this year. Hope he enjoys his last year of his 20's. :)

This is the kind of thing that makes Jennifer laugh. She was making a marinade for some pork and happened to make this with some of the ingredients.

This evening Jennfier and Jannette drove out to visit Megan, Cam and E. They also were able to try some very good bbq at Tracy's church. All-in-all they had a very fun night with some very good friends!
