Coming out of work it was a bit cold. The first of the 30 degree weather.

Jennifer and Jannette both work Halloween night - and plan to dress up as a duo. I know - you're shocked. Tonight after returning from the ATL they dyed some pants that will be part of their Halloween costumes!

October 29

On the way back from GA to NC no trip would be complete without a stop into a Publix to pick up a few things! On the list? Subs, spinach artichoke dip, chocolate chip cookies, and usually a bottle or 2 of Publix brand soda such as the black cherry flavor. We <3 this place!!!

Today was a chill day in Georgia. After the craziness of the game yesterday and traveling the day before - it was much deserved! Jennifer and Jannette explored the area around the Atlanta LDS temple where leaves were turning beautiful colors and got hotel pizza from Buckhead Pizza Company later on for dinner.

TODAY IS GAME DAY!!!! BYU vs. Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA -- We came, we cheered, we won!! :)

The girls headed to Atlanta, Georgia today for a fun football filled weekend. Whoop!!

Jennifer walked into her room tonight to find this....

It appears as though her tutu grew a plastic bag leotard! Pretty cool!

Instead of cooking dinner tonight, Jennifer and Jannette decided to eat at Cracker Barrel and play at Target! Pumpkin Custard with Gingersnap Crumbles and little girls skirts are all it takes to amuse 2 grown women!

Jennifer shot this on the way home from work this morning... sometimes good, quiet drives home are just what you need!

It's really difficult having a pet. Not because they are hard to love, but because when you lose them a piece of your heart goes with them. RIP Secret Agent O - you were greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

It's no longer Jannette's birthday week. So the table decorations have been changed over to Halloween.

Jennifer tested another Pinterest recipe this morning while she was attempting to stay up for her upcoming night shifts. These were baked oatmeal "cookies" made with walnuts and dried cranberries - they were pretty yummy!

Apparently the birthday dinner, dessert, and birthday cake have taken their toll on Jannette and Jennifer. This was the scene shortly after midnight...

Honeycrisp apples are the absolute best. And if you're lucky... you can find these apples the size of softballs. Literally. The cutting board measures 9.5 x 5.75 inches... just sayin'....

Bands of thunderstorms moved through the area today. The clouds looked pretty cool.

Going into the holiday season would not be complete without a paper chain. This time it is made out of left over Christmas wrapping paper.

Jennifer and Jannette both had the day off today so they took a drive up to Virginia in hopes to pick some apples. They got apples and also were able to drive some of the Blue Ridge Parkway. It's always such a beautiful drive. Happy Fall!

Tonight neither of the girls wanted to cook something for dinner- so Chipotle it was! It was a good decision.

It's beginning to get chilly here in North Carolina. Both the girls are loving it!!

Despite the 40 degree weather, Jannette had frozen yogurt on the way home from work.

This weekend it's FINALLY supposed to get chilly (about time) in NC thanks to a bunch of rain that's supposed to come through. It started raining overnight and this is what Jennifer woke up to this morning - it was in the 50's and rain was pouring (this picture doesn't do it justice though) along with a good bit of lightening and thunder. Thank heavens all the errands were completed on Friday - because today wouldn't have been the day to go outside!

October 6

Staying up late for an evening BYU football game on Friday night turned into Saturday wee hours of the morning. Jannette also hoped that painting her toe nails weren't going to jinx the team. They pulled out a W afterall.

October 5

Jannette and Jennifer had a day off together and decided to go on an adventure! They left the apartment and went to an apple orchard just outside of Siler City, NC (it was really in Ramseur) to pick some apples - all the apples had been picked but they bought some from the orchard store and found a very tasty homemade apple cider slushie as well. They continued on up to Greenboro to pick up some gluten free bread, get frozen yogurt at Red Mango, grocery shop for GC weekend, buy a book (Les Mis - good luck to us) at B&N, and made some random stops at places like Target looking for the Pitch Perfect soundtrack. It was a very busy day - but lots of fun!

Jennifer is baking - again! Much to her delight... she found a gluten free recipe for Almond Flour Pumpkin Bread! It's pretty good, a little bit more dense in texture than wheat bread, but it's yummy nonetheless.
