Jannette decided to get a picture in front of the Castle since we normally never see it during the day... seeing as it was NYE and the parks generally reach capacity, the girls headed there EXTRA early for EXTRA magic!

We had a blast - but would definitely have to think long and hard about venturing out to Disney World on NYE again... the parks were packed and it may have been a one time adventure.

December 30

Merry Christmas! We finally did presents tonight (even though Jorden wasn't able to be there because of work, at least Katie came over) - pretty awesome gifts all around! Jennifer could open up her own catering company with her gifts. And Jannette rocked the Christmas Wish list! Tigger took his spot under the tree (maybe he was in hiding). And then the girls (and the George's) were off to Downtown Disney to check into their hotel!

December 29

Happy Birthday Ariel!!!! Bonnie hosted a birthday for Ariel tonight and had people over - it was a nice gathering and fun to catch up.

December 28

We're home in FL and the tree is up! It may be technically after Christmas according to the rest of the world.... but since we haven't celebrated and opened presents, it's not over yet!

December 27

After a night of driving and sleeping in a rest area - the girls arrived home to FL. They decided to go running up at the Jackson Middle School track and then came home and crashed! Mom got crafty and made a sign. Jennifer and Jannette decided they were tired enough that it didn't even matter if they had to share a couch or blanket!

December 26

And we're off!! Thank heavens for a low census at work - the girls both got the call off this morning, slept in a bit, got up and packed, got the car packed, and headed to Florida! Here we come Sunshine State - George is keeping the presents in check for the ride.

December 25

Santa dropped by the apartment last night and filled stockings - hopefully the girls were good enough to get gifts in FL... 'cause there weren't any in NC. Off to work we go!!! Merry Christmas!!!!

December 24

Jennifer and Jannette got the BEST surprise today at work! The girls are notorious for popping over to Walkertown to see Meg, Cam, and E (without warning) - and today they got a bit of their own medicine.

This little guy - and his parents - were a great Christmas Eve surprise on a hectic, busy day at the hospital and he loved all the new toys!!

December 23

In an effort to keep cooking and stressing over work and dinner meals to a minimum over the next few days... Jennifer and Jannette mass-cooked today! Among the yumminess? Turkey breast roasted in the oven and sweet potato, cranberry, and pecan casserole! Yum! Be jealous.

December 22

Jennifer found a few neat channels today - they play Christmas music set to holiday themed video. Jennifer is not ashamed to admit that she owns one of the crackling fireplace DVD's that also plays Christmas music. Finding 3 channels of holiday goodness was pure joy so close to Christmas!

December 21

One of the usual stops on the way west through NC is at Red Mango in either Greensboro or High Point. On our way to surprise Megan, Cam, and E today we decided to get fro yo in High Point to stall some time so Megan could get home from school. Even Red Mango can figure out a way to decorate for the holidays!

The cute picture of the day however is thanks to E - and his ever adorable self! Tonight we gave E his Christmas presents, watched him act like a cute toddler, and visited with our wonderful friends! One of the greatest blessings in our lives has been moving to NC and being close to the Johnson's!!

It's bowling time! BYU vs. SDSU. By the end of the game there were several things trending on twitter relating to the game.

After a long day it's always nice to sit down with a mug of hot chocolate flavored by none other than a candy cane taken off the tree.

Spending Christmas Day in North Carolina means that we get to put presents under our tree. Wrapped and all. They will soon make the trip down to Florida to be opened.

We were all for decorating for Chrsitmas and sometimes we think that people could do a better job at it. However, you shouldn't make your porch look like Christmas threw up on it. Just sayin'.

We got this wonderful Christmas card in the mail. We couldn't be more excited to be "aunts" once again. We cannot wait to meet Baby Johnson!!!

Before heading back down to North Carolina after a weekend full of holiday celebrations we stayed to see a fireside by the Mt. Vernon Stake. While waiting for the fireside to start we sat in the car and read the books that we were working on.

While up in Virginia to see the lights on the grounds of the Washington DC temple we had to make a few stops at a favorite restaurant. Cafe Rio never disappoints and they even had their own decorations out for the holiday season, ornaments and all.

All is merry and bright! Including the neat shadow cast by the Christmas tree on the dining room wall!

Shopping. Online. Is. Evil. Especially when it involves Jannette and Deseret Book. This came for Jannette yesterday. Jennifer just rolled her eyes when she went to get the mail a little bit ago.
