Today was a sad day at work for Jennifer. A child she took care of frequently passed away sort of unexpectedly. Jennifer and Jannette decided to eat out because they just weren't up to cooking. Cracker Barrel saved the day - and while baked apples don't fix a super crappy day, at least the food was good.

The girls went out to dinner tonight at Ruckus in Cary - and it ended up being Trivia Night. We had fun!! Even if we really do suck at trivia apparently......

Staying up for a string of night shifts equals a trip to Walmart. Maybe Jannette shouldn't go there so late at night. She picks up things she shouldn't have.

Spring is close enough to summer- so therefore, it's grillin' season. Yumm-o food on the grill.

Tonight Jennifer and Jannette helped Sweet Tomatoes celebrate their favorites month. Yummy focaccia and creamy tomato soup.

We've finished the military diet. We would not recommend it. Jennifer is down in weight, Jannette is not.

Jennifer found that you can make popcorn in a brown paper bag in the microwave. She may have gotten a little excited about it. The bag popped right on open. It's was a tad too full.

We like BBQ. We also like to make our own BBQ at home. Most times it turns out to be really good- tonight was no exception.

Dinner out in Walkertown with the Johnson's ended with throwing pennies into the water with E. He's so darn cute!!

To make cooking dinner more entertaining- just make random shapes out of the meat. This is our chicken heart. Not to be confused with the heart of the chicken, which we would never eat.

The girls finally broke into the pumpkin pie. It turned out pretty good.

Holiday season equals tasty, tasty food. Puppy chow.

After a long day at work Jannette opened her car door to a pizza and Christmas music left there by Jennifer. It was a very welcomed surprise.
