Oh, tasty pineapple!!! We love it!!! Grilled pineapple is great - and so we''ve recently discovered, is pineapple sprinkled with cinnamon. The only thing that would have made the lovely bowl of fruit better is if it had been grilled too. Next time!!

Remnants of a super moon tonight. We never saw the official "super moon"last night due to the massive amount of rain - but tonight's was pretty too, even if a bit of haze remained!

Jennifer's not feeling well - again. So it's only fitting that Cinco de Mayo was spent at home today, instead of the girls out drinking tequila shots! Just kidding. But in all seriousness, the weather today was complete garbage so a day indoors was just fine.

May 4

It's always a treat when either Jannette or Jennifer gets to watch E for the day. He's such a happy, smiley boy and loves to play!! Today Jennifer got the pleasure of E-sitting by herself! Cheerios, applesauce and E - what a great start to the day!!!

During the day, Jennifer and E took many car rides to run various errands and he was great! Barely fussed. He even came home and napped a bit.

Megan finally came home and took a catnap while Jennifer and E played.

Tiring - but a good day all in all. Makes you kind of what one or two of them :)

May 3

Jannette caved yesterday and turned on the A/C. The predicted high in Cary was 92 stinkin' degrees so it was time!! Today, the apartment was kept a comfy 78 degrees - or close to it - thanks to air conditioning. I'm seriously impressed that we both lasted until May before turning it on - with the warm winter we had, I thought it'd be mid-March!

May 2

True story - Jennifer and Jannette like to cook, bake, and grill! Tonight, they made tasty steak and cheese panini's that were accompanied by the lovely side dish shown below which is a recipe stolen from Megan. Cowboy caviar!!! SO good! They ate this at the party for E on Saturday and HAD to make it again. What's not to love?!? Avocado, black eyed peas, corn, and yummy seasonings! A new side dish staple!

The cast of characters: potting soil, tomato plant, basil plant, small shovel. Here's hoping that this go-round with the plants goes a little better than the last attempt. Thank you Lowes for having starter plants!
