June 7

Today at camp, Jannette helped send all the campers out on an overnight cookout/ campout. She thought that meant that she would have the night off. That was until she ended up here with a camper after he was given a dose from an epi-pen. Jannette also learned that she could never work in a small community hospital.

The gardening on the back porch is still going OK... there's still green plants despite Jannette being gone. Today, when Jennifer went outside to water the plants she found this little guy on the ledge of the pot where the watermelon is trying to grow - he's kinda cute. From afar. The zoom was most definitely used.

Last night, Jennifer was charge nurse at work for the first time! This morning - when all was still well in the world and the kiddos were safely tucked in - the sun came up and the sunrise over Chapel Hill was beautiful! It really doesn't do the sky line justice, but here's a shot from the 7th floor of the NC Children's Hospital overlooking Chapel Hill.

When left to her own devices in an otherwise empty apartment, Jennifer can get a little - bored, distracted, entertained - by the randomest of things. Tonight's distraction was provided by her own hair... and curling it. Also known as: attempting to using Jannette's bendy curlers. The end result was not spectacular. Let's just leave it at that.

Jannette headed off to camp (Kanuga Conferences) in Hendersonville, NC today - she'll be working for almost 2 months as a camp RN before she starts her 1st big kid job on 7 Children's at North Carolina Children's Hospital in Chapel Hill. Her bed looked quite lonely today after she left...
