Happy Labor Day - the girls are working a day shift together -- watch out. Today's port would have been Villefrache, France (read: MONTE CARLO!!) -- we're still pouting.

The sky threatened rain heading back into NC tonight from VA - nothing came down in VA, but the clouds looked pretty cool!

Loyal, strong & true - rise and shout Cougars!! College FB season is back!!!! :) BYU played U Va today -- we lost, but had a great time tailgating, hearing Greg Wrubell & Marc Lyons speak, meeting really nice U Va fans, and screaming our lungs out despite the crazy weather and stupid ACC refs!

August 30

The final weekend of travel has commenced and this time the girls are in Charlottesville, VA! This weekend BYU will play the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and thanks to their scheduling Jennifer and Jannette got to come up a day early. Tonight was the team fireside - which was amazing as always - there was even 2 special speakers.... 2 missionaries serving in the Charlottesville area who play on the team!

Tonight on our floor we celebrated (and cried a little) due to the retirement of one of the unit secretaries - Carolyn. We'll miss her around the floor but we're excited for the new found freedom she'll have now!

3 of Jennifer and Jannette's co-workers are headed to Barcelona today for an amazing trip. A trip both of the girl's should be on too. But due to work not giving them the time off... the trip had to be cancelled. We'll be excited to see pictures of the amazing ports, Spain, Disneyland Paris, and France but for now we're pouting, sulking a bit, licking our wounds and cat-sitting. Bon voyage MR, DH & JW!

Happy VMA night!!!! Justin Timberlake performed and received an award -- and brought *NSYNC to the stage to perform a song with him! For a second, we both went back to 1999 when boy bands were all the rage :) It was good to see them together again (even if pics of the TV screen aren't so good...).

We <3 Wegman's - and we <3 Thai peanut sauce.... so on our recent trip to VA... of course we had to pick up a bottle to try :) Thanks Wegman's!

This sweet girl was blessed today and turned 2 months recently - we love her (and her parents and brother) so much... Happy Blessing Day, S!!!

We stopped by 2 orchards on our way out of VA today - Stribling Orchard and Hartland Orchard. We've been to both before to pick fruit and had to go back since peaches and apples are in season currently. We even got to pick our own raspberries. YUM!!

Weekend surprise #2 for Mom -- tickets to see Josh Groban (for the 2nd time) this time in VA :) He was amazing -- as always!

Mom has FINALLY eaten at Cafe Rio - and has specifically eaten their wonderful salads!!! We have a weekend of birthday surprises planned for her - this being the first of about 3 of them. We're excited to be eating yummy food all weekend and to have Mom try it finally!

It SERIOUSLY cannot be July 27th! It was 68 degrees when Jennifer left for work this morning... weird. Nice... but weird.

Today was a sad day at work for Jennifer. A child she took care of frequently passed away sort of unexpectedly. Jennifer and Jannette decided to eat out because they just weren't up to cooking. Cracker Barrel saved the day - and while baked apples don't fix a super crappy day, at least the food was good.

This ice cream is AMAZING!!!!!! It's the Edy's "light" Salted Caramel Pretzel ice cream - try it... you won't regret it!!

The Royal Prince made his first public appearance today. The Royal family just left the hospital.
